Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, Inc. is a volunteer women’s organization. Members are motivated to strengthen their partnership with Israel, ensure Jewish continuity, and realize their potential as a dynamic force in American society. Founded in 1912, Hadassah retains the timeless values dedicated to Judaism, Zionism, and the American ideal of our founder, Henrietta Szold, Jewish scholar and activist. Committed to the centrality of Israel as the historic homeland of the Jewish people, Hadassah promotes the unity of the Jewish people. In Israel, we initiate and support pace-setting health care, education and youth institutions, and land development to meet the changing needs of Israel and all her people. In the United States, Hadassah is an advocate for the quality of American and Jewish life through its education, Zionist youth programs, health awareness, and personal growth.
