About
The Mission of the Foundation for Monterey County Free Libraries is to improve literacy and provide equal access to information for all Monterey County residents. The Foundation funds literacy programs; attracting donations to fund the Summer Reading Programs, Homework Centers, Live Online Homework Help, Family Literacy Programs, 2 bookmobiles, a Reading Safari Van. As a 501c3, the Foundation has provided over 2.5 million dollars to these programs since 1989, "opening windows to a larger world."
