Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, Inc. is a volunteer women’s organization founded in 1912 founded by Henrietta Szold, a Jewish scholar and activist. Our 300,000 members are committed to the centrality of Israel as the historic homeland of the Jewish people. In Israel, we initiate and support pace-setting health care, education and youth institutions, and land development to meet the changing needs of Israel and all her people. In the United States, Hadassah advocates for the quality of American and Jewish life through its education, Zionist youth programs, health awareness, and personal growth programs.
