Raising A Reader (RAR) is a national nonprofit organization that has helped families successfully build and sustain literacy routines in their homes since 1999, with special attention to children at highest risk for educational failure. Raising A Reader’s mission is to engage parents in a routine of daily book sharing with their children to foster healthy brain development, parent-child bonding, and early literacy skills critical for school success.
